It would be remiss of us not to mention the COVID pandemic and the current situation in Australia. We feel the Australian politicians have over reacted to the danger and have wasted billions of dollars, destroyed many small businesses, and not really achieved a sustainable outcome. The virus has once again reared it’s ugly head in Victoria, and that state has had to go back into a full lockdown for another six weeks. It is uncertain what the politicians are trying to achieve by pursuing the lockdown policy and what the final outcome and cost will be. One thing is certain, it is unlikely the virus will be eliminated, and more likely than not, we will just have to learn to live with it. It is quite likely the economic destruction currently being forced upon us by our politicians will be for no good reason at all. We are very lucky to be invested in the agriculture industry and living in the countryside where the threat of COVID is almost non-existent. Agriculture in Australia has not yet been affected by the COVID crisis.
